One Million Miracles for Dance Marathon at LSU

This past spring, over 500 Louisiana State University students “danced in the PMAC til the morning light” raising over $229,000 for the kids at Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital, the local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital!  This year was a special year for Dance Marathon at LSU as they celebrated their fifth year on campus.  Since the organization’s humble beginnings, Dance Marathon at LSU students have collectively raised $1,000,896.13 for Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hopsital!  That’s one million miracles for local pediatric patients and their families. In recognition of these students’ amazing commitment and contribution to Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital’s mission,  the Teen Lounge located on the fifth floor of the new hospital will be named the Dance Marathon at LSU Teen LoungeThank you, Dance Marathon at LSU!

Nationally, since it’s inception, Miracle Network Dance Marathon has raised over $200 million for 170 local Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals across the United States and Canada.  The slogan for the kids, or FTK, drives the passion and energy among students from all corners of campus.  Dance Marathon students spend the entire school year getting to know former and current pediatric patients, planning special events, and coordinating fundraising opportunities in their local community.

Check out the progress of the freestanding Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital! As previously mentioned, the Dance Marathon at LSU Teen Lounge will be located on the 5th floor.  The Teen Lounge is a place for patients 13 and older to “be a teenager”, watch a movie, play Foosball, and more!
